Simply put King Solomon had a bunch of chicks. He was obsessed with foreign women, exotic beauty, but off limits according to God.
1 Kings 11:1-7
King Solomon was obsessed with women. Pharaoh's daughter was only the first of the many foreign women he loved—Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite. He took them from the surrounding pagan nations of which God had clearly warned Israel, "You must not marry them; they'll seduce you into infatuations with their gods." Solomon fell in love with them anyway, refusing to give them up. He had seven hundred royal wives and three hundred concubines—a thousand women in all! And they did seduce him away from God. As Solomon grew older, his wives beguiled him with their alien gods and he became unfaithful—he didn't stay true to his God as his father David had done. Solomon took up with Ashtoreth, the whore goddess of the Sidonians, and Molech, the horrible god of the Ammonites. Solomon openly defied God; he did not follow in his father David's footsteps. He went on to build a sacred shrine to Chemosh, the horrible god of Moab, and to Molech, the horrible god of the Ammonites, on a hill just east of Jerusalem. He built similar shrines for all his foreign wives, who then polluted the countryside with the smoke and stench of their sacrifices.
Second Column:
So, King Solomon did not do what God wanted him to. He had 1000 women that he wasn't supposed to have. God told him not to, because they would seduce him away from God, but he did it anyway...and God was right. King Solomon built altars to these evil Gods of these foreign women.
Third Column:
I have a friend that is a white supremist. We were running buddies in Riverside, CA and he was always talking crazy stuff about what he believed. Mind you, I don't share his beliefs in anyway shape or form, but we hung out. We were not boyfriend and girlfriend at all but we would drink beers together sometimes. He was a hoot. Way way out there. By the way, he doesn't play well with others and has anger issues. He was a two time offender and managed to pick up another violent charge by way of lead pipe. Yep, he got served a life sentence. Of course, while I was in prison he wrote me the whole time and kept me company. While I was in prison I made some promises to myself about how I wanted my life to look when I got out. I started reading the Bible again. God met me there. I turned away from all my crazy stuff but contimnued to write to my friend. I thought I could lead him away from his violent tendencies did eventhough he was in prison. He did soften and even told me he was praying. Then he made a hard turn toward the way of the Yogi. He started meditating and trying to reach God. I have no idea what he is talking about and I think he is trying to align his chakras and whatnot. He sent me the book Autobiography of a Yogi and another daily devotion book by Paramahansa Yogananda. THey have good words and are good to do. Like take for instance today....

Obediance
The true disciple obeys his guru implicitly in everything because the guru is a man of wisdom and purity.
Alrighty then, got problem with this. I am not obeying anyone but my God. He is the only Guru in my book. So, people can easily be led astray with the many foreign religions of the world. I mean they sound SORT OF ok until you realize that they aren't focused on God. King Solomon was a King and he was still led astray. I bet God still loved him. God will love me.
